Our policies, revision guidelines, and terms of service for custom song creation
Revision Policy
Free Revisions Included
We want you to love your custom song! The following revisions are included at no additional cost:
- Lyric adjustments: Up to 5 lines of lyric changes
- Pronunciation fixes: Unlimited mispronunciation corrections
- Minor timing adjustments: Small tempo or rhythm tweaks
Revision Timeline & Requirements
- Free revisions must be requested within 24 hours of song delivery
- Revision requests after 24 hours may incur additional fees
- Revisions will be completed within 3-5 business days
- All revision requests must be submitted in writing via email
Additional Revision Fees
The following changes require additional payment:
- Lyric changes beyond 5 lines - $15 per additional line
- Melody or instrumental changes - $75-$150 depending on complexity
- Revision requests after 24-hour window - $25 processing fee + revision costs
- Major structural changes (verse/chorus arrangement) - $100-$200
Services Not Offered
The following revision requests cannot be accommodated:
- Re-recording by a different artist or vocalist
- Complete genre or style changes (e.g., pop to country)
- Instrumental-only versions or vocal removal
- Changes to fundamental song concept or theme
Refund & Satisfaction Policy
Our Commitment to Quality
We work closely with you through our revision process to ensure your custom song meets your expectations. Since each song is uniquely created for you and cannot be resold, our refund policy reflects industry standards for custom creative work.
Full Refund Conditions
- Song does not meet the specifications provided in your order
- Technical quality issues that cannot be resolved through revisions
- We are unable to deliver your song within the promised timeframe
- Service failure on our part (artist unavailability, system errors, etc.)
Partial Refund Conditions
- Order cancellation after work has begun - 50% refund
- Customer provides insufficient or unclear information - case-by-case basis
No Refund Conditions
Important: Since each song is custom-made specifically for you and cannot be resold to another customer, refunds are not available simply due to personal preference regarding style, mood, or overall feel.
- Dislike of musical style, mood, or overall feel when song meets specifications
- Change of mind after song completion and delivery
- Song meets all specified requirements but personal taste differs
- Customer provided unclear or insufficient information during ordering
Processing Time: Approved refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days and will appear on your original payment method within 7-10 business days.

Delivery Process
- Order confirmation and project assignment within 24 hours
- Progress updates sent via email at key milestones
- Final song delivered as high-quality MP3 and WAV files
- Lyrics sheet and chord chart included (if applicable)
Download Availability
Important: Download links are available for a limited time to ensure optimal file storage and delivery.
- Download window: Files are available for download for 180 days after delivery
- Access method: Download links provided via email and customer portal
- File backup: We recommend downloading and backing up your files immediately upon delivery
- After expiration: Files may be re-delivered for a $25 processing fee if requested within 1 year
Potential Delays
Delivery may be delayed due to:
- Insufficient or unclear information provided
- Customer requests for major changes during production
- High volume periods (holidays, special events)
- Technical issues or equipment problems
Acceptable Use Policy
Content Restrictions
To maintain a safe and respectful environment, we reserve the right to refuse service for content that violates our policies.
Prohibited Content Types
We do not create songs containing any of the following content:
- Sexually explicit or pornographic content: Including graphic sexual descriptions, adult content, or inappropriate material
- Hate speech or discriminatory content: Content targeting individuals or groups based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics
- Politically charged or inflammatory content: Extreme political messaging, propaganda, or content intended to incite division or controversy
- Illegal activities or content: Content promoting illegal drugs, violence, criminal activities, or other unlawful behavior
- Harassment, threats, or violence: Content targeting specific individuals with threats, bullying, or promoting violence
- Copyright infringing material: Unauthorized use of copyrighted lyrics, melodies, or other protected intellectual property
- Defamatory or libelous content: False statements intended to damage someone's reputation or character
Content Review Process
- All song requests are reviewed for compliance with our acceptable use policy
- Content review occurs within 24 hours of order placement
- We may request clarification or modifications to ensure compliance
- Borderline content will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis
Consequences for Policy Violations
Important: Orders containing prohibited content will be handled according to the severity and nature of the violation.
- Minor violations: Request for content modification with opportunity to revise
- Moderate violations: Order cancellation with full refund
- Severe violations: Order cancellation without refund and potential account suspension
- Repeated violations: Permanent ban from using our services

General Terms of Service
Intellectual Property Rights
- You own full rights to your completed custom song
- Commercial use, sharing, and distribution rights included
- LyricalStories retains no rights to your custom song
- You may request removal of your song from our portfolio

- Respond to clarification requests within 48 hours
- Ensure all provided content is original and non-infringing
- Make revision requests within specified timeframes
